Job description

The Bryn Mawr School is seeking a head varsity softball coach. Bryn Mawr competes in the IAAM “B” Conference. Qualified candidates should have 1-2 years coaching experience; playing experience and a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Candidates should possess excellent organization and communication skills.

The head varsity coach is responsible for planning and attending all practices and games, communicating with parents and students, motivating athletes, organizing the use of equipment, driving mini buses to practices and some away matches, attending preseason and postseason league coaches meetings and postseason awards assembly.

• Practices are from 3:45–5:45 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
• There are, onaverage,1-2 games per week.
• The softball season begins in mid February and concludes in mid May.
• This position reports regularly to the Director of Athletics.
• This is a paid, part-time position and a background check is required.
