Job summary

The Agnes Irwin School in Rosemont, PA, seeks an experienced assistant softball coach for the 2027 spring season to support the upper school varsity program and student-athletes.

You will team with the head coach to coordinate practices, recruit strong student-athletes, emphasize safety and sportsmanship, and promote academic growth while upholding school policies.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, coaching experience at any level, and CPR/First Aid certification.

Job description

The Agnes Irwin School, a PreK through 12 all-girls’ school in Rosemont, PA, is looking for
an experienced assistant softball coach for the 2027 spring season. This position will be
responsible for continuing development and growth of the upper school varsity softball
program and student-athletes.

Responsibilities

• Work with our head varsity softball coach in coordinate practice sessions and training programs with an emphasis on athletic growth as well as safety
• Attend all practices and games; coach team to build competitive success
• Recruit student-athletes of high academic and athletic potential to Agnes Irwin
• Promote a positive attitude, academic achievement, and personal growth
• Comply with all Agnes Irwin procedures and policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience coaching softball at the youth, high school or college level.
• Evidenced ability to maintain and consistently exemplify the highest standards of
• professionalism, leadership, sportsmanship and respect
• Proven organizational and motivational skills
• Demonstrated abilities in communication and community relations
• Demonstrated ability to effectively work with students, staff, administration, and

• Knowledge of appropriate safety measures to ensure the well-being of
