Job summary

Flat Rock Community Schools is seeking a Varsity Boys Golf Head Coach for Flat Rock Community High School. The role leads the golf program, coordinates practices and events, and enforces district policies.

The candidate will guide student-athletes, communicate with parents and staff, and uphold academic standards, sportsmanship, and safety. Coaching experience and MHSAA familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate; college graduate preferred.
• Valid certifications (or willingness to obtain) CPR/AED and First Aid; MHSAA CAP.
• Previous golf participation required; coaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Michigan High School Athletic Association rules and regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with high school student-athletes, parents, and staff.
• Demonstrated coaching strategies and methods that align with the District's Student-Focused Coaching and Leadership Philosophies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions for the team you are assigned to, in accordance with the FRCS Athletic Coaching Handbook and District Policies.
• Maintain a consistent presence and commitment to the program, prioritizing responsibilities to the program throughout the season.
• Communicate and enforce all school, league, and Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) rules and regulations.
• Promote academic achievement, sportsmanship, and personal development among team members.
• Work collaboratively with the athletic department and coaching staff to ensure a safe and well-organized program.
• Represent Flat Rock Community Schools in a professional and respectful manner at all practices, meets, and school-related events.
• Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director
