Qualifications
- Must possess high school diploma
- Extensive experience with Golf
- Cap 1 and/or Cap 2 certification (prior to season)
- First Aid and CPR certified (prior to season)
- Successful past coaching experience, preferred
- Knowledge of the MHSAA Golf rules and regulations, preferred
- Ability to work within a coordinated Golf curriculum from youth through varsity level
- Strong personal and social skills, with the ability to effectively communicate using a variety of media
Job Description
- Responsible for all Varsity Boys Golf practices, games and related activities
- Coordinate in-season and out-of-season training / conditioning opportunities for grades 9-12
- Work within a program philosophy and curriculum that builds upon itself from grades 9-12
- Develop cohesive coaching relationships that work to develop players from grades 9-12
- Responsible for all equipment and uniform inventory of the team
- Teach and instruct all aspects of Golf, while working to develop and emphasize positive character traits in all athletes
- Provide coaching, encouragement, and guidance to all athletes in the program
- Build meaningful positive relationships with staff and student body
- Motivate players and coaches to work toward program and philosophy goals
- Other duties may be assigned by the Athletic Director
