Job summary

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of procurement experience.
• Knowledge of vapor recovery technologies (VRUs, compressors, emission control systems).
• Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Familiarity with EPA/OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Proficiency with SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Vendor sourcing and management: establish relationships with suppliers for VRUs and related services.
• Procurement planning with project managers and engineers to forecast needs and align with timelines and budgets.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions while ensuring compliance with policies.
• Purchase order management: create, issue, and track POs for vapor recovery equipment ensuring timely delivery.
• Market research: monitor trends and supplier capabilities to inform decisions.
• Compliance and documentation: maintain records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Supplier performance evaluation and corrective action as needed.
• Cross-functional collaboration with engineering and operations to verify specs.
• Cost optimization: identify opportunities to reduce costs via bulk purchasing or long-term contracts.
