Job summary

The Corona-Norco Unified School District seeks a Visual and Performing Arts instructor to deliver standards-aligned instruction across music, choir, theatre, visual arts and dance.

You will support instructional delivery, coordinate rehearsals and performances, and assume increasing program responsibilities while working with K-12 students and staff.

Flexibility for events and completion of required trainings and certifications is expected.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a college or university majoring in Music, Dance, Theatre, Choir, Visual Arts, or related discipline.
• Two years of coaching, teaching, or professional experience; or three years of experience in coaching, teaching, performing, or related arts experience.

Job Summary

Under the direction of an administrator or site Director(s), provide standards-aligned instruction and supervision to students in one or more Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) disciplines, including music, choir, theatre, visual arts, and dance; support instructional delivery, student engagement, rehearsal coordination, and performance readiness; and perform instructional and program support duties with increasing independence.

Minimum Qualifications: Enrollment in a college or university majoring in Music, Dance, Theatre, Choir, Visual Arts, or related discipline and two (2) years of coaching, teaching, or professional experience; or three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in coaching, teaching, performing, or related professional arts experience sufficient to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above. Prior coaching or teaching experience preferred. Experience working with K-12 students preferred. Please note: This position requires flexibility in scheduling. The selected candidate must be available to work evenings and/or weekends, as needed, to support events and activities associated with this role. Selected candidates must complete fingerprinting, Mandated Reporter Training, Sexual Harassment Prevention Training, CPR/First Aid certification, NFHS certifications (Concussion in Sports, Heat Illness Prevention, & Sudden Cardiac Arrest), and TB clearance prior to employment.
