Job summary

Blue Collar Customs is seeking a Level 2 Commercial Vehicle Technician for van specialty work. You will perform interior and exterior upfits, including shelving, partitions, lighting, and wiring, aligned with fleet standards and SOPs.

This role emphasizes precise, reproducible builds, teamwork with senior technicians, and ongoing development to advance within the shop. Welding or heavy electrical training is a plus, with a strong focus on safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training a plus.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to follow directions and safety procedures.
• Willingness to learn new upfit technologies and wiring concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and manual dexterity for vehicle upfits.

Responsibilities

• Install van upfit components per layout drawings and SOPs.
• Perform electrical installations for lighting and power.
• Prepare vehicles and manage workspace for installations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and material inventory.
• Inspect installations for quality and safety compliance.
• Follow PPE and safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with senior technicians to meet deadlines.
• Record installation time and any issues encountered.
• Engage in on-the-job training and skill development.
• Stay current with upfit techniques and vendor guidelines.
