Job summary

US Workvan Inc is seeking a skilled Commercial Equipment Installer to join our Lansing, MI team. This hands-on role outfits commercial vehicles with professional-grade equipment and upfits, reading work orders and installation instructions to complete projects.

Applicants should have experience in vehicle upfitting or related trades, basic 12V electrical knowledge, and proficiency with tools. A valid driver's license is required for driving vans and light commercial vehicles.

Qualifications

Prior experience in vehicle upfitting or related trade preferred.
Basic electrical knowledge is a plus (12V systems).
Proficiency with hand and power tools and fabrication equipment.

Responsibilities

Install commercial equipment, shelving, storage systems, and accessories into work vans and fleet vehicles.
Read and interpret work orders, schematics, and installation instructions to complete upfit projects.
Perform electrical wiring, mounting, and fabrication tasks as required for vehicle upfits.
Inspect completed installations for quality, safety, and functionality before delivery.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop.
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and customer expectations.
Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues efficiently and professionally.
