The University of Georgia is seeking a Van Operator (Temporary) to transport passengers with registered disabilities in ADA vans across campus locations and to assist with entering and exiting the vehicle. You will perform vehicle inspections before, during, and after shifts and complete essential paperwork such as time sheets and condition reports.

Department: Auxiliary Transit Operation
Transport passengers with registered disabilities in an accessible van to and from various campus locations in accordance with applicable laws and department procedures. Assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle as necessary. Inspect the vehicle before, during, and after the shift to ensure proper operating condition. Complete necessary paperwork, including time sheets and vehicle condition reports. Operate other vehicle equipment such as electronic AVL equipment and wheelchair ramps. Applicants must submit to drug and alcohol testing by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Sitting for long periods, lifting up to 15 pounds, and assisting in securing a wheelchair with restraints.
Temporary service/maintenance position. Non‑Exempt. Full‑time equivalent: 0.49. Hours and schedule may vary and include weekends. Driving is a requirement. No direct interaction with children under 18 or direct patient care. No access to financial resources or need for a P‑Card.
