Encompass Health is seeking a Van Driver to support patient transportation and provide a friendly, caring presence for patients, families, staff and visitors. This role enhances hospital efficiency and contributes to safe, high-quality patient care within a community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license for the heaviest class vehicle.
• CPR and First Aid Training.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous transportation experience required.
• Must be 25 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Operates transportation vehicles in a safe manner and complies with all traffic laws.
• Maintains appearance of vehicle and promptly reports vehicle maintenance needs.
• Performs daily and weekly vehicle inspections.
• Lifts and transfers patients appropriately; applies all safety equipment.
• Is competent in CPR and/or handles any patient emergency.
