Job summary

Encompass Health in Sherwood, AR is seeking a Van Driver to support patient transport, helping patients, families and staff with safe, courteous mobility and reliable service in a community-focused hospital environment.

The role requires a valid driver’s license for the vehicle class, CPR/First Aid training, a high school diploma or GED, previous transportation experience, and a minimum age of 25 to ensure safety and dependability.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license for the heaviest class of vehicle to be driven.
• CPR and First Aid Training.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous transportation experience required.
• Must be 25 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Operates transportation vehicles in a safe manner and complies with all traffic laws.
• Maintains appearance of vehicle and promptly reports vehicle maintenance needs.
• Performs daily and weekly vehicle inspections.
• Lifts and transfers patients appropriately; applies all safety equipment.
• Is competent in CPR and/or handles any patient emergency.
