Solebury School in New Hope, PA is seeking a dependable Van Driver for the 2026–2027 school year. Our drivers provide safe, reliable transportation for students and serve as a positive ambassador for our school.

General hours include mornings 6am-8:30am and afternoons 3:00pm-5:30pm or 5:00pm-7:30pm, with driving duties and ongoing safety checks as essential functions.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Able to pass background screenings.
• Knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices.
• Patient, courteous, and professional attitude with students and families.
• Ability to supervise passengers safely while driving.
• Dependable with good judgment and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a school van in accordance with traffic laws, school policies, and safety procedures.
• Pick up and drop off students according to established routes and schedules.
• Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Practice safe, defensive driving at all times.
• Learn and follow assigned transportation routes.
• Keep the van clean and presentable.
• Help maintain a safe, respectful environment for students during transportation.
• Attend occasional meetings to discuss transportation updates and share ideas for improving our service.
• Work collaboratively with fellow drivers and school staff.
