ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Schedule/Hours: Days/hours vary, 9:00am - 7:00pm

The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for a Christmas Van Driver for the Shoals area.

This position is responsible for driving a Salvation army vehicle to transport passengers to and from The Salvation Army activities and/or kettle or Angel Tree sites; makes pick-ups and deliveries of donated items and other supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to drive a passenger vehicle ensuring the safety of passengers and protection of the vehicle.
• Ability to gauge time needed to arrive at destination.
• Ability to read and follow maps.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
• Ability to drive a vehicle in heavy traffic.
• Work involves driving a vehicle where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, now, heat or discomforts associated with long distance trips or heavy traffic.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU

• High School Diploma or GED, and
• Two years' experience operating an automotive vehicle, or
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Valid State Driver's License in good standing.
