Job summary

Regency Care of Central Oregon in Bend, OR is seeking a Van Driver to ensure safe and timely transportation of residents to appointments and activities. You will prioritize passenger safety, inspect the vehicle daily, and maintain logs while upholding a professional, well-groomed appearance and reliable timetable.

The role requires reading and speaking English, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a CDL if the vehicle size requires it.

Qualifications

• Must be timely and dependable.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.
• Possess a driver’s license in good standing; ability to obtain a CDL if required by vehicle size.
• Typical candidates have 1 year of experience working with older adults.

Responsibilities

• Ensure passenger safety, assist with wheelchair locks and seatbelts.
• Inspect vehicle wear items daily, maintain logs and license tags.
• Clean vehicle interior and exterior regularly.

As a Van Driver, you ensure safe and timely transportation of residents to appointments and activities.

You will:

• Ensure the safety of each passenger, assisting with wheelchair locking and seatbelt fastening
• Inspect vehicle wear items daily, maintain license tags, inspection & trip logs
• Clean vehicle interior and exterior regularly
• Obey driving laws and ensure appointment timeliness

You currently:

• Are timely and dependable
• Display cleanliness and a well-groomed personal appearance, representing the facility in a professional manner
• Read, write, speak and understand English
• Possess a driver's license in good standing and the ability to obtain a CDL as required (based on size of vehicle).
• Typical candidates have one year of experience working with older adults
