Job summary

Regency Care of Central Oregon in Bend, OR is seeking a compassionate Van Driver to safely transport residents to appointments and activities, ensuring timeliness and passenger safety.

You will assist with wheelchair securement, inspect and log vehicle wear items, keep the interior and exterior clean, and follow driving laws. A valid driver’s license is required, with the ability to obtain a CDL if the vehicle size requires it; typical candidates have experience with older adults.

Qualifications

• Must have driver's license in good standing and ability to obtain CDL as required.
• Typical candidates have one year of experience working with older adults.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to appointments and activities and ensure timeliness.
• Assist passengers with wheelchair locking and seatbelt fastening; maintain safety.
• Inspect vehicle wear items daily and maintain logs; keep vehicle clean.
• Obey driving laws and follow facility policies.

As a Van Driver

You ensure safe and timely transportation of residents to appointments and activities.

You Will

• Ensure the safety of each passenger, assisting with wheelchair locking and seatbelt fastening
• Inspect vehicle wear items daily, maintain license tags, inspection & trip logs
• Clean vehicle interior and exterior regularly
• Obey driving laws and ensure appointment timeliness

You Currently

• Are timely and dependable
• Display cleanliness and a well-groomed personal appearance, representing the facility in a professional manner
• Read, write, speak and understand English
• Possess a driver's license in good standing and the ability to obtain a CDL as required (based on size of vehicle).
• Typical candidates have one year of experience working with older adults
