Job summary

Port Warwick Enhanced Senior Living is seeking a part-time Van Driver to transport residents to medical appointments and other destinations in a safe, courteous manner. A valid license, clean driving record, and one year of patient transport experience are required.

The role is scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays 8:00AM–4:30PM and Fridays 11:00AM–4:30PM, with possible additional hours. Benefits include health, vision, dental, 401(k) with match, tuition reimbursement and more.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a clean driving record and demonstrate safe driving practices.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience transporting patients to medical appointments.
• Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with residents, families, staff, and the public.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Strong desire to work with and support the elderly population.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments and other approved destinations in facility vehicles.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle and ensure safety and comfort.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and operational vehicle per safety standards.
• Follow traffic laws, safety regulations, and facility transportation policies.
• Conduct routine vehicle checks and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain timely transportation schedules and communicate delays to staff.
• Provide courteous and respectful interaction with residents, families, staff, and providers.
• Ensure resident safety and well-being during transport.

Hourly Rate: $15.35/hr (ALL INCLUSIVE)

Responsibilities for Van Driver:

• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments and approved destinations in facility vehicles.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle as needed while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and operational vehicle in accordance with facility and safety standards.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and facility transportation policies.
• Conduct routine vehicle checks and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain timely transportation schedules and communicate any delays or concerns to the appropriate staff.
• Provide courteous and respectful interaction with residents, families, staff, and medical providers.
• Ensure resident safety and well-being during all phases of transport.
