Job summary

Emerson is hiring a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead assembly operations, oversee production and testing of valves and related sub-assemblies, and support safety, quality, and delivery initiatives. You will collaborate across functions to optimize operations and drive continuous improvement, while mentoring staff and maintaining production schedules.

The ideal candidate has a engineering degree with five years in manufacturing or technical service, plus budget experience and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field plus 5 years’ manufacturing/technical service experience.
• Minimum one-year budget experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and employees.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a cooperative, team‑oriented environment.
• Excellent familiarity with general Assembly operations for Navy/Nuclear and Commercial Valve assembly.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the production and test of all valves, pressure switch, and sub-assemblies assigned.
• Read and interpret procedures and explain during training exercises.
• Apply Company Policy using ASCO’s handbook and provide guidance in corrective action and discipline as needed.
• Maintain production schedules and customer service for all products manufactured.
• Coordinate operation of Assembly bays and maintain on‑time service.
• Maintain inventory and inventory accuracy on the production floor POU components.
• Coordinate Assembly Engineering department and support projects, improvements, long‑range planning.
• Hold communications meetings with employees per Communications Meeting Plan (Aiken).
• Ensure safety is integral to each employee’s responsibilities and stop work if unsafe.
• Provide training and assistance to assigned personnel (salary and hourly).
• Support equipment check list pertaining to safety and performance; identify worn tooling and fixturing; suggest improvements.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.
• Complete work assignments from start to finish with minimal supervision.
• Create short- and long-term improvement plans.
