Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods to reduce cost and strengthen competitive advantage.
  • Research new manufacturing technologies and recommend capital improvement projects.
  • Analyze workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and equipment layout for efficiency and safety.
  • Participate in design reviews with product development and design teams for efficient production methods.
  • Collaborate with vendors to define product specs, source equipment and materials, and evaluate quality and performance.
  • Estimate production times, staffing needs, and related costs to support management decisions.
  • Partner with management and cross-functional teams on capabilities, schedules, and process improvements.
  • Implement engineering changes and new process introductions into the manufacturing system promptly.
  • Use CAD/CAM and CNC programs to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Apply statistical methods to assess process capability and improvements.
  • Develop clear work instructions and tooling documentation for production teams.
  • Support production by troubleshooting manufacturing issues.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Use CAD/CAM and CNC machining programs to help optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Apply statistical methods to assess and improve manufacturing process capability.
  • Develop clear work instructions and tooling documentation to support production teams.
  • Support production departments by troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field from an accredited four‑year college or university; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • At least 5 years of experience programming CNC machines using G and M codes, as well as experience with CNC programming software such as Edge Cam, Mastercam, etc.
  • Experience supporting machining, and fabrication operations in a high‑mix manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting new process introductions and capital equipment projects.
