New York Air Brake LLC in Riverside, MO, on-site, seeks an assembler to support production of locomotive valves. You will teardown and assemble components, monitor test results, and help maintain quality and safety on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret assembly procedures.
• Experience with teardown and assembly of valves.
• Ability to read and understand test codes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Familiar with quality, safety and environmental policies.
• Knowledge of measurement tools and precision hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Teardown and assembly of locomotive freight valves and monitor test codes.
• Understand testing procedures when valves fail.
• Instruct and demonstrate assembly to other employees when errors occur.
• Perform hazardous waste management duties as necessary; DOT Hazmat shipper every three years.
• Adhere to Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental policies.
• Follow Integrated Management System policies and KPIs.
