Job summary

New York Air Brake is seeking a detail-oriented associate to support production requirements on the shop floor and assist with valve teardown and assembly. The role requires understanding testing procedures and helping maintain quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to two years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Teardown and assembly of locomotive freight valves and monitoring the function of each test code part.
• Understand the testing process when valves fail.
• Instruct and demonstrate to other employees when there are assembly errors.
• Perform hazardous waste management duties as necessary and complete required trainings.
• Must understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies.
• Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.
• Must understand, support and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions.
• Must understand and support relevant KPIs as defined in the goal tree.
