Job summary

Barksdale Control Products seeks a Project Engineer to partner with product management, engineering, sales, operations and customers to advance the valve portfolio from concept through implementation.

The role blends engineering rigor with business sense to identify customer needs, craft technical solutions, support product strategy, and drive lifecycle management, obsolescence planning, and new product development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering required.
• 1–2 years of relevant engineering, project management, or product development experience.
• Familiarity with product management processes and technical product development.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites for training and discussions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee BOM creation, costing, and PCR processes.
• Lead small engineering projects from concept through completion.
• Support replacement and obsolescence projects aligned with 80/20 initiatives.
• Analyze customer applications and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation and deliver presentations to customers.
