Job summary

FloWorks is seeking a Valve Automation Technician to operate in the field and provide on-call technical support for customers. You will install, configure, and commission MOVs, AOVs, and HOVs, perform diagnostic analyses, and troubleshoot advanced equipment in shop and field environments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems.
• Experience installing, setting up, and commissioning MOVs, AOVs, and HOVs.
• Ability to build, test, troubleshoot, repair and modify equipment.

• Performs routine analysis, calculation and recommends changes.
• Diagnoses and reports malfunctions.
• Learns and understands particular technical equipment; attends training and completes certification as required.
• Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.
• Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, techniques.

Job Information

TheValve Automation Technicianis responsible for operating in the field, on-call or provides technical support to assigned customers. Installs, configures, performs problem determination and maintains products and equipment at customer sites, following blueprints and manufacturer's instructions, utilizing product and technical knowledge of equipment. Repairs or coordinates repair of worn or defective products or equipment. Perform skilled, technical work in the design, installation, testing, calibration, maintenance, and repair for assigned product or process.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years’ experience
• HS Diploma or GED required. Specialized skills training/certification may be required

This position operates in both shop and field environments. Occasional visits to warehouses, operational or customer sites may be required. Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.
