FloWorks LLC is seeking a Valve Automation Technician in Midland, TX to install, configure, and commission MOVs, AOVs, and HOVs at customer sites.

The role covers on-site field service, troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and providing technical support with accuracy and safety. Up to overnight travel may be required, with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in valve automation or field service.
• HS Diploma or GED is required; specialized training may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, set‑up, and commission MOVs, AOVs, HOVs.
• Provide on-site technical support and repair services.
• Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Test, calibrate, and verify equipment performance.
• Interpret blueprints and manufacturer instructions.
• Diagnose malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
• Attend training and certifications as required.
• Work under supervision and escalate complex issues.
• Travel to customer sites; occasional overnight travel.
• Ensure safe operations and compliance with procedures.

Job Information

TheValve Automation Technicianis responsible for operating in the field, on-call or provides technical support to assigned customers. Installs, configures, performs problem determination and maintains products and equipment at customer sites, following blueprints and manufacturer's instructions, utilizing product and technical knowledge of equipment. Repairs or coordinates repair of worn or defective products or equipment. Perform skilled, technical work in the design, installation, testing, calibration, maintenance, and repair for assigned product or process.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides expertise related to product implementation and continued service
• Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems
• Install, set-up, and commission MOV’s, AOV’s, HOV’s
• High level of electrical knowledge and theory
• Provides technical solutions and design implementations for products and services
• Builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies equipment, parts, components and assemblies
• Analyzes and interprets test data
• Evaluates performance and reliability of materials
• Performs routine analysis, calculation and recommends changes
• Diagnoses and reports malfunctions
• Learns and understands particular technical equipment; attends training and completes certification as required
• Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor
• Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior co-worker or supervisor

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years’ experience
• HS Diploma or GED required. Specialized skills training/certification may be required

This position operates in both shop and field environments. Occasional visits to warehouses, operational or customer sites may be required. Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.
