Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, LLC. is seeking a Valve Technician to assemble automated valve packages, test systems, and support field projects across locations. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and customer interaction.

You will follow SOPs, use specialized valve testing equipment, and collaborate with sales, management, and warehouse teams to meet deadlines. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid state issued license is required.
• Follow all DOT standards and regulations.
• Must maintain valid DOT Medical card for driver requirements.
• 3 to 5 years experience preferred.
• Valve & actuator experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of computers.
• Ability to read and understand customer data and schematics.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
• Be goal oriented, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines in a team setting.
• Enthusiastic, courteous, and articulate.
• Pre-employment drug and background screening required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assembly of all automated packages.
• Follow SOPs for valve automation and maintain a safe, organized workspace.
• Set up, use, and maintain tools and equipment in the automation center.
• Interact courteously with inside/outside sales, management, and warehouse staff.
• Engage with customers regarding questions about automated packages.
• Troubleshoot automated packages in-house and in the field and perform repairs.
• Assist in developing automated valve sales training program.
• Perform functional automated valve testing and record data.
• Coordinate with inspectors to meet customer demands.
• Travel up to 25% including overnight stays for field projects and support at other Ferguson locations.
