Job summary

The George E. Booth Co., LLC is an Indianapolis-based industrial automation sales company seeking a full-time Valve Assembly Technician. The ideal candidate will install, assemble, and repair valves and gauges to fulfill customer orders and will maintain the production area.

A clean driving record is required and all candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Benefits include a full benefits package and paid overtime in addition to competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.
• Ability to install, assemble, and repair valves and gauges per customer orders.
• Maintaining the production area and housekeeping as part of duties.
• Must have a clean driving record and be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret schematic drawings to determine materials and assembly steps.
• Assemble valves to customized customer orders with sales interaction.
• Adjust or replace parts to meet specifications and repair defects.
• Position and align workpieces for wiring or assembly.
• Explain and interpret assembly procedures to coworkers as needed.
• Record maintenance data and test results for traceability.
• Disassemble and repair mechanical control devices or valves.
• Lubricate parts to prevent wear during assembly.
• Calibrate meters, gauges, and regulators as needed.
• Inspect, test, and verify finished products meet specs.
• Receive, unpack, and store incoming inventory with accuracy.
• Conduct cleaning duties in work area.
• All other duties as assigned.
