Job summary

Sullivan Process Controls LLC in Houston, Texas, seeks an Applications Engineer to deliver world-class technical and commercial support for valve solutions across Oil & Gas, Chemical, Mining and Power sectors.

You will size, select, and price control valves, prepare quotations, interpret P&IDs and process data, and collaborate with engineering and sales to drive customer success on site at our Northwest Houston facility.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in control valves, ball valves and/or severe service applications.
Solid understanding of the valve market and applicable industry standards.
Ability to interpret P&IDs and process data to size and select valve solutions.
Strong knowledge of valve components, manufacturing and assembly methods.
Proficient use of sizing and selection tools (ConVal, Fisher, Performance).
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Projects, Excel, Word).
Ability to work in a team and manage multiple priorities, with strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate complex technical and commercial information clearly.

Responsibilities

Size, select, and price valve solutions for customers, channel partners, and outside sales.
Provide technically sound and commercially accurate quotations.
Interpret varied data and requests from customers and channels.
Communicate order status and expedite requests daily.
Support new product development with input and feedback from field experience.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, sales, quality, and finance to resolve issues.
Help maintain manufacturing quality by documenting issues and supporting corrective actions.
