Job Summary

The Value Stream Team Leader oversees daily operations of the Assembly or Machining department, focusing on safety, staffing, quality, and performance.

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and hold staff accountable within the Value Stream
• Promote safety and ensure adherence to safety procedures
• Maintain quality standards and ensure proper procedures are followed
• Lead by example, fostering trust, collaboration, and accountability
• Resolve line or machine issues promptly
• Define problems, analyze data, and implement improvements
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers
• Drive process improvements and cost efficiencies
• Manage team performance, coaching, and performance reviews
• Handle payroll activities, attendance, and PTO management
• Support organizational goals and culture
• Plan work and personnel for shifts, conduct meetings, and manage production boards
• Collaborate across departments and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in hiring and onboarding new employees

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree preferred
• Experience in assembly or machine operation preferred
• At least 2 years of team leadership experience
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work across shifts and locations as needed
• Proficiency in Epicor, Word, and Excel

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Stand for up to 12 hours
• Use power tools and PPE effectively
