Position Summary

To ship products to our customers 99.3% of the time as per the promised shipping date. Create an environment that promotes teamwork, open and honest communication, and employee development, with all employees working towards the common goal of shipping 99.3% of the time.

Responsibilities

1. Manage production workflow across all departments, ensuring labor rate goals, on-time shipping at 99.3%, and meeting quality expectations.
2. Coach and mentor staff for future roles within CDI.
3. Ensure all training for new employees is completed and keep the training matrix updated.
4. Boost morale by treating employees with respect and engaging with them personally.
5. Hold daily plant huddles with all departments.
6. Assist the Plant Manager with employee accountability, reviews, and development.
7. Verify that all products meet quality expectations and are shipped on time.
8. Support plant leadership in logistics, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.
9. Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills, typically acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in managing production.
• Demonstrated application of CDI, Inc. core values.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, solve problems, meet deadlines, and stay within budget.
• Extensive use of phone and computer.
• Ability to stand or walk continuously.
• Frequent bending, twisting, gripping, squatting, and lifting.
• Ability to lift 50-100 pounds occasionally.

Preferred Experience

• 3-5 years in a production environment.
• Experience leading and directing others.

Salary

$25-$35 per hour
