RTX is seeking a Value Stream Manager for off-shift operations in Richardson, TX. The role coordinates 2nd shift production across fabrication, diamond-point turning, coating and assembly teams, ensuring schedules, safety, and quality standards are met.

You will lead a multi-shift workforce, manage budgets, drive continuous improvement, analyze production data, and provide cost and performance reporting to leadership. This position is onsite and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to motivate, manage and inspire a multi-shift production team to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with production management software and computer systems.
• Ability to analyze issues, identify solutions and take corrective actions.
• Strong organizational skills for planning schedules and coordinating multiple projects.

This opportunity currently exists within the Operations team for an off-shift (2nd Shift) Value Stream Manager. The successful candidate will coordinate and drive execution of off-shift personnel assigned to 2nd shift (and at times 3rd shift) operations in support of current and future initiatives as it relates to the movement of product through OCMC fabrication, diamond-point turning, coating and assembly manufacturing teams.

• Manage operational budgets, control production costs, minimize waste, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency.
• Supervise the manufacturing process, resolve production issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Analyze production data, identify improvement opportunities, and prepare performance and cost reports for management.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices.
• Motivate, manage, and inspire this multi-shift production team to safely meet deadlines and goals.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and relevant production management software packages.
• Analyze issues, find logical and effective solutions, and make timely, decisive corrective actions.
• Possess the strong organizational skills required for planning production schedules, coordinating activities, and managing multiple projects and resources efficiently.
• Manage workloads, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of quality control standards and safety regulations to ensure high‑quality products and a safe working environment.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Prior experience with leading teams with diverse operational skillsets and equipment.
• A solid understanding of manufacturing production processes and relevant industry‑specific technologies.
• Collaborate and influence the development of project objectives and goals with external customers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience with team building, change management and team leadership in a matrix organization.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment governed by FOE protocols.
• Knowledge of the optics industry.

Salary & Benefits

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
