Global Filter seeks a Value Stream Leader based in Cedar Rapids, IA, to drive manufacturing activities for process filtration products. You will champion safety, quality, and efficiency while leveraging deep knowledge of our product portfolio and processes.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, action-oriented leader with strong attention to detail, capable of building a positive culture and guiding technicians through continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and work pack instructions.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Must work in a clean atmosphere producing high purity products.
• Strong teamwork and quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead point of contact for Production Technicians to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Train and coach Technicians on manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
• Lead by example to improve quality, productivity, and team cohesion.
• Collaborate with Production Supervisors to prioritize daily activities.
• Ensure priority/expedited requests reach the shipping department on time.
• Utilize materials and labor effectively for optimal production.
• Assemble products to specifications and operate related equipment.
• Navigate ERP for material allocations and inspections.
• Operate sonic welding and thermal end-cap machines as needed.
• Inspect work packs/labels and ensure correct assembly.
• Notify supervisors of BOM or routing corrections.
• Review and approve shop floor timecards.
• Use hand and power tools and perform measurements and math.
• Other duties as assigned.
