Job summary

Global Filter is seeking a Value Stream Leader based in Cedar Rapids, IA to oversee manufacturing activities for process filtration products. The role drives safety, quality and efficiency while guiding production teams and coordinating with supervisors.

The candidate should be detail-oriented, quick to learn, and capable of meeting attendance and performance expectations. 2nd shift is Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM with a $1.50/hr shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow work orders/work packs.
• Able to read a tape measure accurately.
• Able to perform basic math calculations.
• Able to work in a clean room environment producing high-purity products.
• Must work well in a positive, dynamic team environment.
• Must maintain excellent personal hygiene daily.

Responsibilities

• Lead Production Technicians to ensure safety, quality and efficiency.
• Train and coach technicians on manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
• Lead by example to improve quality, productivity and teamwork.
• Collaborate with Supervisors to prioritize daily production activities.
• Ensure timely completion of priority requests for shipping.
• Assist in optimal use of materials and labor to meet goals.
• Deploy tasks to technicians to meet product specs.
• Safely operate equipment to assemble filtration products.
• Navigate ERP for material allocations and inspections.
• Run sonic welding equipment for pleat packs and products.
• Troubleshoot and operate end-cap machines as needed.
• Verify BOMs and routing instructions with supervisors/engineering.
• Review timecards for accurate labor and cost allocations.
• Use hand/power tools for assembly and measurement.
• Perform measurements and basic math for lengths/diameters.
