Job summary

Dresser Utility Solutions GmbH in Houston, TX is seeking a Value Stream Product Specialist to own configuration and order integrity across the value stream, translating customer requirements into accurate, manufacturable product definitions.

You will coordinate with customer care, engineering, supply chain, and production to ensure right-first-time manufacturing, BOM accuracy, and adherence to customer specifications and delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• High School graduate with mechanical aptitude and 2–3 years experience in manufacturing, product configuration, or engineering support roles.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into production requirements.
• Experience working cross-functionally in a manufacturing or value stream environment.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into complete, accurate product configurations for right‑first‑time manufacturing.
• Review and validate work orders before release to ensure alignment with specs and internal requirements.
• Identify discrepancies or non‑standard requirements and drive resolution with stakeholders before production begins.
• Define, maintain, and control product configurations and BOM accuracy for production orders.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing operations with clear guidance for builds.
• Act as the technical authority for configuration and customer-specific requirements during production.
• Support engineering changes and ensure updates reflect across configurations and released orders.
• Verify material readiness and coordinate with procurement to prevent production delays.
• Coordinate cross‑functionally to align customer requirements with production execution.
• Participate in root cause analysis of complaints and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by analyzing issues and feedback to strengthen configuration processes.
