Job summary

Bolzoni Group located in Sulligent, AL is seeking a Value Engineer (I or II) focused on product cost evaluation and feasibility analysis for RFQs. The role collaborates with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to define the best production processes during the industrialization phase using AI and automation tools.

A bachelor’s degree in engineering and 1–5 years in mechanical design or cost estimation are preferred. The position is not remote and requires work in the Sulligent, AL office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 1–5 years of mechanical design, cost estimation, or product development
• Knowledge of welding and machining processes
• Experience with ERP or engineering systems (SAP, Teamcenter, NX Siemens) preferred
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with AI tools or automation initiatives

Responsibilities

• Estimate costs for new products or localization
• Use AI tools to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes
• Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost savings
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Sales during industrialization and to reduce time to quote
• Check product cost variance in case of design changes
• Assist with industrialization and pre-production engineering activities
• Implement workflow automation to improve cost analysis
