Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a cost-focused engineer to review mechanical part designs using CATIA CAD and assess manufacturing feasibility and cost efficiency.

You will collaborate with product engineering and manufacturing teams to optimize production workflows, develop cost plans, perform should-cost analyses, and present cost forecasts throughout the product development lifecycle. Bachelor’s in engineering and 12 months experience required; relocation may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Production/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering.
• 12 months of relevant experience.
• 40 hr/wk; relocation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cost plans for vehicle programs.
• Conduct detailed cost analyses of components, systems, and processes.
• Perform should-cost analyses to benchmark supplier pricing.
• Develop and track KPIs and provide actionable cost insights.
• Prepare cost forecasts and budget proposals throughout the development lifecycle.
