Job summary

Techtronic Industries Co. seeks a Project Engineer III – Value Engineering to lead cross-functional VE initiatives, driving cost reduction while preserving performance and durability.

You will coordinate with global engineering, sourcing, quality, manufacturing, and product management teams to deliver savings and value. Ideal candidates have a BS in engineering and 4+ years of VE project experience, with strong DFMA, cost modeling, and supplier collaboration skills, plus willingness to travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• 4+ years of engineering experience with VE projects.
• Experience managing product development or Value Engineering initiatives.
• Strong grasp of electromechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Proven problem-solving, analytical, and project leadership skills.
• Exposure to global suppliers and overseas manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with DFMA, cost modeling, and root cause analysis.
• Ability to draft test plans and coordinate qualification testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple Value Engineering projects from concept through implementation.
• Conduct teardowns, benchmarking, cost modeling and opportunity identification.
• Develop and execute project plans, schedules, and risk mitigation.
• Lead technical tradeoffs on cost, performance and schedule.
• Interface with global suppliers for cost-effective design solutions.
• Validate alternative materials and supplier proposals.
• Coordinate qualification testing for safety, durability and performance.
• Track progress and report savings, risks and timelines to leadership.
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Finance and Product Management.
