Job summary

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Product Cost Engineer for a company in Sulligent, Alabama. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 1–5 years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or product cost estimation.
• Knowledge of mechanical processes, especially welding and machining.
• Experience or interest in AI tools, automation, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong background with Excel.

Responsibilities

• Estimate costs for new products or for products localization.
• Use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost savings for products already in production.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to during industrialization phase and to reduce time to quote.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities using AI-driven analytics.
