Job summary

Viva Health in Birmingham, AL seeks an Associate Director, Provider Performance & Value-Based Contracting to lead its value-based reimbursement strategy and provider performance programs. You will drive contracting strategies, strengthen partnerships with ACOs and CINs, and translate analytics into actionable improvements.

You will collaborate across Provider Services, Medical Economics, Finance, and Clinical Operations to advance value-based care and improve member outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Public Health, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or related field.
• 7 years progressively responsible experience in managed care, provider contracting, provider network management, value-based care, healthcare consulting, or related healthcare leadership.
• 3 years progressive leadership or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of value-based reimbursement methodologies, provider economics, Medicare Advantage, quality measurement, utilization management, risk adjustment, and provider performance improvement strategies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of value-based contracting strategies and provider incentive programs.
• Develop and maintain provider performance methodologies, scorecards, dashboards, and executive reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate strategy into operational execution and drive performance improvements.
• Analyze provider performance across quality, utilization, cost, risk adjustment, and member experience and translate findings into recommendations.
• Oversee the Preferred Provider Network including provider selection, governance, and network expansion.
