Job summary

Blue Cross NC seeks a Director of Value Based Care Operations & Execution to lead operational delivery of value-based care programs enterprise-wide. You will drive end-to-end program execution, align cross-functional teams, and translate strategic goals into measurable outcomes.

This role requires building governance, establishing workflows, and ensuring readiness for new programs, contract changes, and model updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 10 years of experience in related field preferred
• In lieu of degree, 12+ years of experience in related field is acceptable
• Healthcare operations or value-based care experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of value-based care programs and ensure alignment with delivery timelines
• Drive cross-functional collaboration and hold stakeholders accountable for outcomes
• Identify and resolve operational barriers impacting program implementation and ongoing execution
• Establish and enforce workflows, governance, and accountability structures
• Ensure operational readiness for new program implementations, contract changes, and model updates
• Oversee initiatives to improve program delivery and provider engagement
• Partner with performance and analytics teams to translate insights into actions
• Align processes with contractual requirements, measurement methodologies, and financial expectations
• Drive prioritization and sequencing of initiatives across stakeholders
• Serve as escalation point for complex operational issues
• Lead standardized processes for attribution, reporting inputs, and execution
• Provide leadership updates on progress, risks, and mitigations
