Job summary

Talent Mappers is seeking an experienced Valuations Manager to lead purchase price accounting, valuations, and earn-out arrangements as part of the Finance team in Miami. You will provide technical accounting support across the organization and collaborate with M&A, Legal, FP&A, and external auditors to support the company's acquisition strategy.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, particularly ASC 805 and IFRS 3 (Business Combinations) and fair value accounting concepts.
• Experience preparing purchase price accounting analyses and accounting for acquired intangible assets, goodwill, and contingent consideration.
• Understanding of valuation methodologies (DCF, market, income approaches).
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with advanced Excel.
• Experience with external valuation specialists, auditors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to research and document technical accounting conclusions.
• Familiarity with financial reporting requirements and acquisition-related disclosures.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchase price accounting analyses for acquisitions in accordance with IFRS 3; identify and value acquired assets and liabilities.
• Coordinate with third-party valuation specialists and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain acquisition accounting documentation, valuation models, and schedules for reporting and audit.
• Monitor and account for contingent consideration, earn-outs, seller notes, and related arrangements.
• Support quarterly and annual fair value assessments for acquisition-related liabilities.
• Analyze and document technical accounting matters related to mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
• Partner with M&A, Legal, FP&A, and operations throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Assist with disclosures for quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Support external audits and coordinate with valuation specialists to ensure timely reporting.
• Develop and enhance processes, controls, and documentation for acquisition accounting and valuation.
