Job summary

Madison-Davis, LLC is seeking an Accounting Manager in Miami to lead hands-on close processes and support financial reporting. The role owns complex areas including external audit, consolidated accounting, and loan-servicing/ private credit related accounting.

The ideal candidate has solid accounting fundamentals, can interpret complex transactions, work independently, and coordinate with Operations and Loan Servicing to capture activity accurately. Hybrid schedule offered.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting fundamentals and ability to understand complex transactions.
• Experience in private credit, specialty finance, loan servicing, asset management, or financial services.
• Hands-on, able to work independently and partner with Accounting & Operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage key components of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and workpapers.
• Support general ledger maintenance and financial reporting accuracy.
• Coordinate external audit requests and documentation.
• Support accounting for a complex consolidated organization with multiple entities.
• Develop an understanding of private credit portfolios and loan-servicing operations.
• Partner with Operations and Loan Servicing to accurately capture transaction activity.
• Account for loan activity including principal, interest, cash receipts, and investment transactions.
• Reconcile accounting activity to operational and loan-servicing systems.
• Assist with financial statement preparation and investment-related reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting.
• Support the Controller and accounting team with complex accounting matters and special projects.

This is a hands‑on role supporting the firm's accounting and financial reporting function, with ownership of complex areas including external audit, consolidated accounting, and accounting related to private credit and loan‑servicing activities. Compensation is approximately $120K–$160K base, depending on experience, with a hybrid work schedule.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals and the ability to understand complex transactions, work independently, and partner effectively across Accounting and Operations. Experience in private credit, specialty finance, loan servicing, asset management, or financial services is particularly valuable.
