Job summary

Cherry Bekaert LLP is seeking a Senior Manager to lead valuation services for middle-market clients. Manage projects, mentor staff, and collaborate with audit teams and regulators to deliver sophisticated valuations of businesses and intangible assets.

Hybrid flexibility across multiple offices or remote for the right candidate. Qualified applicants bring 7+ years of valuation experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and progress toward CFA/ABV/ASA credentials, with strong Excel and analytical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• Valuation credential or progress toward CFA/ABV/ASA
• Minimum 7 years delivering valuation services in public accounting or consulting
• Valuation of businesses, intangibles for ASC 350/360/718/815 and related areas
• Experience running complex financial models
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Technical skills: Excel, financial modeling, model validation, model building, business writing
• Experience assisting audit teams with valuation reviews
• Ability to manage relationships with clients and teams
• Strong leadership, recruiting, training, and mentoring with excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in US GAAP and/or IFRS preferred
• Experience managing multiple engagements and BD activities

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, conduct, manage, and oversee valuation projects
• Understand and manage firm risk on projects and proposals
• Supervise, train, and mentor junior professionals on valuation of financial instruments
• Assess staff performance during engagement and year-end reviews
• Collaborate with audit teams and regulators
• Work with Partners on client management, practice development and BD
• Participate in presentations and seminars
