Job summary

Cherry Bekaert is seeking a Senior Manager in Valuation Services to lead complex business valuation engagements for middle-market clients. You will mentor teams, oversee analyses of financial instruments, and collaborate with audit and regulatory teams to deliver high-quality advisory services.

The role offers hybrid flexibility across our footprint in the U.S. and may be remote for the right resource, with a strong focus on leadership development and business development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Valuation credential or progress towards CFA, ABV or ASA.
• Minimum 7 years of demonstrated progressive experience delivering valuation services in a public accounting and/or consulting environment.
• Valuation of businesses, business interests, and intangible assets for ASC 350/360/718/815; complex securities and embedded derivatives; estate and gift tax and charitable contributions; IRC provisions.
• Firsthand experience in running complex financial models.
• Strong research and analytical skills; ability to solve complex valuation issues.
• Technical skills: Excel, financial modeling, model validation, model building and business writing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, conduct, manage, and oversee projects and services in business valuation analysis, industry research, and related investigative services.
• Understand and manage firm risk on projects and proposals.
• Supervise, train, and mentor more junior professionals on valuation of financial instruments and related services; assess performance of staff.
• Work closely with audit teams and regulators.
• Collaborate with Partners and staff on client management, practice development, and business development processes.
• Participate in presenting and conducting seminars.
