Hamilton Lane is seeking a Valuation Manager to lead the valuation of direct equity and credit portfolios. You will work with senior professionals and participate in a dynamic private markets environment, engaging across industries and complex instruments.

The role emphasizes building financial models, conducting analyses, and reviewing valuation reports while mentoring junior staff to ensure timely delivery and high-quality work products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in portfolio company investment valuation.
• Experience as a valuation specialist at an accounting or asset management firm.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience managing or mentoring junior team members.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct valuation analyses of illiquid investments across various industries.
• Build and modify financial models for estimating valuations.
• Perform research on securities and capital markets.
• Review financial statements and transaction documents.
• Prepare and review valuation reports for stakeholders.
• Mentor junior analysts in their valuation assignments.
• Manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
