Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking an Associate to join the Economic and Valuation Services practice in a role focused on producing robust valuation analyses for mergers, acquisitions, financial reporting, and regulatory needs. You will build integrated financial models, forecast conditions, and communicate results to internal and client teams.

The position emphasizes collaboration, advanced analytics, and hands-on use of Power BI, Alteryx, and Excel; travel to client locations is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics or equivalent.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Experience or coursework in building financial analytics models and tools in MS Excel; knowledge of VBA, SQL, AI, and data visualization tools is preferred.
• Coursework in information systems, software engineering, computer science or data analytics is a plus.
• Strong ability to develop and explain integrated 3-statement models in Excel.
• Experience in finance, banking, FP&A or consulting environments is beneficial.
• Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; travel/onsite work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial information to forecast business conditions and develop analytics solutions for M&A, IPOs, and strategic planning.
• Build custom financial models, conduct data analysis, and perform forecasting and scenario modeling.
• Collaborate with internal and client teams across functions and manage multiple tasks.
• Stay current with market developments and leverage tools like AI, Power BI, and Alteryx to enhance services.
• Travel to client sites as needed and work on-site in assigned locations.
