Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking an Associate to join our Economic and Valuation Services practice in an early career role. You will analyze financial information, build financial models, and work with teams on M&A and valuation projects across various client engagements.

Ideal candidates pursue or recently completed a degree in business, accounting, finance, economics or data analytics, with a GPA around 3.0 and proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and data visualization tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed degree within past 12 months in relevant fields.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Experience or coursework building financial analytics models in Excel; familiarity with VBA, SQL Server, AI, and data visualization tools.
• Coursework or minor in information systems, software engineering, computer science or data analytics preferred.
• Proficiency in fully integrated 3-statement financial models in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in a professional analytics/finance setting or FP&A team is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial information to forecast business conditions and develop analytics solutions for mergers and acquisitions, including integrations, divestitures, IPOs, and investment appraisal.
• Build custom financial analytical models, support data analysis, conduct forecasting, scenario modeling, and trend analysis.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and inclusive teaming with internal and client teams across functions.
• Adjust to shifting priorities and juggle multiple tasks.
• Stay abreast of current business and economic developments and use technology to enhance services.
• Build capabilities in AI, Alteryx, Power BI and other tools for client delivery.
