Job summary

Houlihan Lokey, Inc. seeks a Financial Analyst to join the Portfolio Valuation practice within the Financial and Valuation Advisory group. You will analyze and value illiquid securities, prepare client deliverables, and support due diligence and marketing efforts.

Ideal candidates hold at least 1 year in valuation, a finance/business/Accounting degree, and strong Excel, Python, and VBA skills. The role offers exposure to leading global clients in a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of work experience at an accounting or valuation firm in a valuation capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Applied Economics; strong analytical abilities.
• Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline preferred; experience with complex securities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and valuing derivatives, structured products, loans, private equity, and other illiquid securities.
• Determining valuation assumptions based on historical performance, collateral type, and economic scenarios.
• Utilizing valuation models including DCF, guideline companies/transactions, and lattice or Monte Carlo methods.
• Performing market research and calibrating models with market data.
• Preparing client deliverables and assisting in due diligence discussions.
• Presenting analyses to review committees and clients’ senior management.
• Researching general economic conditions and industry trends that impact valuations.
• Assisting with sales and marketing initiatives for prospective and existing clients.
