Job summary

Stout is seeking an Analyst in the Business Valuation practice in Irvine, CA. You will support valuation and financial advisory engagements for tax, transaction, corporate planning, and dispute-related purposes, collaborating with senior professionals across industries.

You’ll develop valuation analyses, build financial models, and assist with reports, exhibits, and presentations while maintaining thorough documentation and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
• 0–3 years of valuation experience or related professional services.
• Pursuing CFA/ASA/CPA/ABV/CVA preferred.
• Understanding of valuation methods and financial modeling concepts.
• Ability to analyze financial statements, forecasts, tax returns, and other financial information.
• Strong quantitative, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with AI tools to enhance productivity and analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Experience in client service or professional services preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support valuation analyses for tax, transaction, corporate planning, and dispute-related purposes.
• Analyze businesses, ownership interests, and financial instruments across industries.
• Develop and prepare valuation models, schedules, exhibits, reports, and presentations.
• Assist with client calls, management interviews, and engagement discussions.
• Document assumptions, methodologies, data sources, and analytical procedures.
