Job summary

ManpowerGroup Global, Inc. seeks a Validation Engineer 4 in San Jose, CA to join the engineering team responsible for processor validation and platform development.

The role requires strong analytical skills and proactive problem solving to support silicon validation programs. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 8–10 years of related experience, or a Master’s with at least 8 years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 8-10 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven expertise in developing and executing platform-level electrical and functional test plans.
• Experience with platform-level electrical characterization, especially with processor I/O interfaces.
• Strong debugging skills for processor and PC platform I/O interfaces, with familiarity in reading schematics and layout documentation.
• Proficiency in using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and MS Windows and Office applications; excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans for processor interface validation, focusing on electrical and functional aspects.
• Execute electrical and functional tests on client processors utilizing hardware and software validation tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Debug and troubleshoot electrical and functional issues related to new processors, providing detailed analysis and solutions.
• Contribute technical input into platform definitions and review platform designs used in silicon validation processes.
• Provide technical guidance and training to less experienced engineers and technicians in processor validation, testing, and debugging procedures.
