Scheduled to open July 2025, the McGrath Outpatient Pavilion is a state-of-the-art, 250,000-square-foot medical facility dedicated to outpatient care, including cancer treatment, diagnostics, and surgical services. We are seeking dedicated healthcare professionals passionate about providing exceptional care and advancing medical excellence to join our team.

Job Description

Under supervision, perform a variety of operations involved in driving and parking vehicles for guests. Responsibilities include maintaining excellent customer service standards; issuing ticket receipts after inspecting and documenting vehicle damage; retrieving vehicles promptly; collecting and securing cash and issuing receipts; recording vehicle information and location on valet tickets; tagging and maintaining keys; and performing other assigned duties. Ensure service standards are maintained with all front-line staff and resolve visitor issues to meet UC San Diego Health’s service expectations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a driving record compliant with local policies; enrollment in the California Employer Pull Notice Program preferred.
• Relevant experience in parking or customer service roles.
• Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Skills, knowledge, and abilities necessary for successful performance of duties.

Special Conditions

• Willingness to work various shifts and locations based on business needs.
• Employment is contingent upon a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Compensation

Annual Full Pay Range: $42,386 - $54,810 (prorated if part-time)

Hourly Range: $20.30 - $26.25

Salary factors include experience, skills, knowledge, education, licensure, and organizational needs. The posted pay scale represents the university’s budgeted range and may vary based on internal equity and other factors.
