Job summary

Rivers Casino Des Plaines is seeking a friendly Valet Attendant to greet guests and assist with parking at the Rivers Casino front entrance.

You will ensure guest satisfaction by explaining the parking process, maintaining a neat valet area, and handling keys with care. This role requires mobility, strong communication, and availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays at our Des Plaines location.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Must be able to run to/from vehicles.
• Must know and abide by all applicable federal DOT, state, and local driving regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to communicate with Team members and guests.
• Ability to successfully fulfill the pre‑employment process.
• Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet the guest with positive demeanor and assist with valet parking.
• Explain Rivers Casino parking and retrieval procedures to guests.
• Answer the valet phone within 3 rings and maintain professional etiquette.
• Maintain proper storage and labeling of guest keys and tags.
• Keep the valet area neat and free of trash.
• Hand out valet tickets and perform damage inspections of vehicles.
• Hang coats and tag luggage for guests.
• Respond to reasonable guest requests or connect with appropriate staff.
• Adhere to image guidelines for high-guest-contact position.
• All other duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet the guest with positive body manner, friendly demeanor in accordance with the 5-10 rule; open hotel doors for guests during slow periods.
• Adheres to the guidelines of Rivers Casino parking and retrieval procedures.
• Explains to guests Rivers Casino parking and retrieval procedure to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Must strive to answer the valet phone within 3 rings and maintain professional telephone etiquette.
• Maintain proper storage and labeling of guest keys and tags.
• Keep the valet area and front of Casino entrance neat and free of trash.
• Hand out valet tickets and perform damage inspections of all vehicles before parked.
• Hang coats and tag luggage for guests.
• Respond to reasonable guest requests or place guest in contact with appropriate person for assistance.
• Adherence to image guidelines is particularly essential for this high-guest contact position.
• All other duties as assigned.
